Our Story
My name is Connor Mogen, and I am the founder of Miravelous LLC. It all started in 2020, my sophomore year of college, when I was sent home from Texas State University due to the global pandemic. I needed a quarantine project, so I decided to build a raised bed garden for my parents, who live in Dripping Springs (where I was raised). Despite not being my finest work, the garden produced exponentially more food than I anticipated. It was a relaxing hobby, planting seeds and watering the plants every day, all the way to harvest. The fruits, vegetables and herbs that I grew tasted so natural and fresh. I realized that due to rocky ground conditions, and lack of yard space, many people do not have the opportunity to grow their own food. I thought, “What if H-E-B were to close?” This thought transitioned my new hobby into a service I knew I could offer: Building aesthetically pleasing, affordable gardens for those who want the chance to grow their own food, but don’t have acres and acres to do so.
I posted a simple ad on the Nextdoor app, and got my first client, a local to Dripping Springs. Seeing my client’s happy face upon completion brought me so much joy, being able to provide a useful service, giving people access to the satisfying hobby of gardening.
The name “Miravelous” has simple origins. My gardens are Marvelous because of the time I take to make the gardens aesthetic as possible, and Miraculous because having the ability to grow your own food, in native soil with the sunlight local to where you live, can be life saving. I combined the two words to form “Miravelous,” and the rest is history.
